DJ Johnson
I’m a researcher and digital storyteller in Rhode Island. I spend my time in archives and old newspapers, finding the people that history skipped over and building ways for others to explore their stories.
For thirty years I worked as an instructional designer, building courses, curricula and learning games. That work taught me how people take in a complicated story, and it’s the same craft I bring to history now.
The Daddy Black project has grown to more than two hundred records. Storyline CMS grew out of it, because I needed a way to show all of it at once.
